Gamma Beta Delta Sorority
Incorporated
Providing Friendship, Sisterhood & Loyalty
Since 1988
In September of 1988 on the campus of Brooklyn College, eleven women strived to create a sorority that concentrated on the needs of every individual.  Through their hard work and determination, Gamma Beta Delta Sorority, Incorporated was founded.

Today, we continue our original credence - that sororities are productive, beneficial and an integral part of college life, on and off campus.  We offer each member a sense of comradeship, outlets for creative energy and experience in leadership.  We also offer each member friendship, sisterhood, trust, and a sense of loyalty.

Our chief charity  - The National Multiple Sclerosis Society - helps fund research in hopes of finding a cure for this disease. We have an adopted child named Ganesan. With the help of  The Christian Children's Fund and our events, we help raise money to support him and his family.  Ganesan lives in India with his parents and young sister. We have also initiated a Million Penny Drive which has been given to aid citizens in the Caribbean who have been affected by hurricanes and other forces of nature that have destroyed their homes and ways of life.We are also participating in America's Walk for Diabetes in hopes to raise money to find a cure for diabetes. We also participate in the AIDS Walk NYC in hopes to find a cure for HIV/AIDS, and the Breast Cancer Walk NYC in hopes to find a cure for breast cancer. In 2007, we formed the Arete Scholarship to help high school seniors continue their education.

Each semester Gamma Beta Delta thinks up new and inventive ways to raise money for our charities.  If it be through bake sales, parties, walkathons or other fundraising ideas such as our Annual Talent Show  where other organizations on campus  can compete by showing off their talents, we have raised large amounts of money for our charities. Our sorority colors are: Teal, Grey, and White and our mascot is Calvin from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes.
