Our chief charity - The National Multiple Sclerosis Society - helps fund research in hopes of finding a cure for this disease.
We have supported an adopted child named Ganesan. With the help of The Christian Children's Fund and our events, we help raise money to support him and his family. Ganesan lives in India with his parents and younger sister. Recently, we adopted another child. Her name is Ekrem and she is two years old. She was born in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. She lives with her mom in a small rented house. She is an active and friendly child.
We are also participating in America's Walk for Diabetes in hopes to raise money to find a cure for diabetes as well as aid in research into healthy alternatives to living.
Each semester, Gamma Beta Delta thinks up new and inventive ways to raise money for our charities. Whether it be through bake sales, parties, walkathon or other fundraising ideas. One of our philanthropic events is an Annual Talent Show held at Brooklyn College, where other organizations and students compete to raise money for charity.
